Income Tax, Earnings and Country Visas

Paying Tax

Initially I will be paying tax UK tax. I have set myself up as self-employed working as a sole trader.

Luckily the tax in the UK is not too bad compared to some other nations so I am happy to do this initially. Paying my National Insurance will also ensure my pension contributions are maintained.

In the future it might be better to move things 'offshore' and have my earnings paid into a bank account in a tax haven. I don't really know enough about this at the moment but it might be something I think about in the future.

Internet Earnings

I get paid from a number of sources for my web sites and this is straight into my personal UK bank account. I can then access this money from ATMs while I am away and use internet banking to transfer money into savings accounts when I have to.

Visas for Countries

We can only advise the following when it comes to visas.

- Never breach the terms of your entry visa
- Never overstay a tourist visa
- Always refer to the country's immigration web site for up-to-date information
