I always charge more when the people who are interested are an established company or working on behalf of one. While I might charge a small time operator $10 per month on one of my sites, I would ask for $20 or more from a bigger business. Or better yet for UK companies always quote your prices in £ without figuring in the exchange rate. So if you usually charge $20 per month of a link and you are approached by a UK-based business, ask for £20. Works every time and, depending on the current exchange rate, it could double your money.

Isn't this when you usually announce that you have record earnings for the month?

Pretty much, but I have worked out that I work less in the summer months when my earnings are the most. Earnings drop from now until Dec when I tend to work more.

From Jan I tend to work less as I am usually away in warmer places and earnings usually climb again!

It kind of adds up.

Hey Kirsty,

Thanks for the advice. I will be trying that and see how they respond. I normally charge the figure you gave 10 Eur / month, however the last big one that came for one of the sites I actually tried 100/month and it worked!!! They didn't even bat an eyelid, they agreed straight out!!!

But yeh I will go for a higher figure when they are big companies :) Not as high as the 100/month cos that might have been beginners luck lolol!!
