So I have arrived back in Thailand after a very bumpy flight from Singapore. I am in the Krabi province in the South and await my friend’s appearance sometime tomorrow afternoon before we head off for some Island action.
I am 35 today (eeek) but will be having an early one tonight as I was out with my friend in Singapore quite a bit over the last few days. It was nice to see a familiar face out here.
It’s good to be back somewhere where you can get a room with air-con and TV for under $10 a night again! I am always pleased to leave Thailand but it’s also nice to be back. Try and figure that one out.

It has been my worst month since June! Just like last October this one saw a dip in earnings. I came in roughly around GBP 1950 or USD 3750 this month.
On the bright side this is five times more than I earnt in the corresponding period last year so at least I am still moving in the right direction. It also demonstrates how high my expectations are.
Perhaps this is a bit of a wake up call for me now as I have been seriously lazy for a while now. It is actually quite motivating to take a hit like this.
I have now arrived in Singapore and will be here with a friend from London for a few days. It is my birthday on Monday and I will be flying to Thailand on that day.
I have already spotted my birthday present to myself this morning while walking through a shopping mall. It is a t-shirt with the words ‘Geeks rule’.
That sums me up nicely

It is amazing how quickly one gets used to the lower cost of living (or higher cost) and then adjusts accordingly. I could not imagine spending over $20 on a meal now like I routinely did in Switzerland.
The picture right was taken the other night in the World famous Espresso bar and is of yours truly borrowing one of my friend’s hair!
Tonight is my last night in Bali and I have been out buying gifts for some of the people I know here. Tomorrow I am heading to Singapore (again!) for four days before flying north.
I have this rule where I never fly with a hangover so having an early one tonight. Sometimes I still get nervous when I fly (made worse if I am hungover) which seems bizarre for someone who has flown over 30 times in the last 12 months!
Will post an earnings report soon. It would appear I am well down on last months record so I’d better get my arse in gear!
